Revanth inaugurates 800 MW Yadadri Thermal Power Unit-2

CHIEF Minister A Revanth Reddy inaugurated Unit-2 of the Yadadri Thermal Power Station (YTPS) on Saturday, with a power generation capacity of 800 MW, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, and other ministers.
Constructed by Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited (TGGenco) at Veerlapalem village in Nalgonda district, the YTPS spans 1,133 hectares and will feature five 800 MW units, totalling 4,000 MW. The project's initial cost of ₹25,099.42 crore escalated to ₹36,131.99 crore due to Covid-19 delays
