ECOR Sets Freight Record With 200 MT in 290 Days

THE East Coast Railway (ECoR) has achieved a record freight loading of 200.13 million tonnes in just 290 days during the 2024-25 fiscal year, setting a new benchmark in Indian Railways' history.
This feat, accomplished on 15 January 2025, surpasses its previous record of 295 days in 2023-24 and represents a 1.6% increase over the 196.779 million tonnes loaded last fiscal year.
