No SC quota for migrants in U'khand jobs: HC

THE Uttarakhand High Court has ruled that a scheduled caste (SC) woman from another state is not entitled to reservation benefits in Uttarakhand where she has settled after marriage.
"The jurisdiction of reservation is specific and does not transfer with migration," a bench of Justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari said on Tuesday while hearing a batch of petitions, including one filed by Anshu Sagar. Petitioner Anshu was originally a resident of Moradabad, UP. After marrying an SC person, she obtained an SC certificate and a permanent residence certificate in Jaspur.
