Father-son duo brings laurels, all set to join UP force as constables

IT is a moment of double pride for the family of Yashpal Nagar as he and his son Shekhar, 21, are set to join as constables in the Uttar Pradesh Police force as they both were selected during the recent recruitment drive for over 60,000 posts.
They received their appointment letters from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during a ceremony in Lucknow on Sunday. Yashpal Nagar is an ex-serviceman who hung his boots in 2019 taking VRS from the Indian Army after serving the nation for 16 years. After taking VRS, he joined Army Ordnance Corps in Delhi.
