MCT deploys infrared technology to fix potholes

The Tirupati Municipal Corporation (MCT) has adopted a UK-based infrared recycling process to repair road potholes efficiently, cost-effectively, and with minimal disruption to traffic.
The corporation purchased the equipment at a cost of ₹1.5 crore.
The MCT engineering officials demonstrated the new technology to Commissioner N Mourya two days ago. The process was tested to repair potholes and restore road surfaces to their normal condition.
