Inflows into SIPs up 4% to ₹30,422 cr in Sept; gold ETFs see 282% surge

A healthy 4% rise in inflows to the systematic investment plans (SIPs) and a 282% jump in gold exchange traded fund (ETF) inflows cushioned a 9% drop in equity funds, helping assets managed by the 47-member MF industry remain in the green trajectory for the 55th consecutive month, adding 0.57% more to the assets at ₹75.35 lakh crore in September, up from ₹74.93 lakh crore in August.
However from an absolute numbers perspective for the first time, the industry saw an outflow of ₹43,146 crore in September as against an inflow of ₹52,443 crore in August, a monthon-month fall in net flows. This is the first time since April this year that inflow has turned negative. With the market remaining in jittery, inflows into equity funds fell for the second consecutive month, falling 9% in September to ₹30,422 crore from ₹33,430 crore in August, while gold ETF inflows rose 282% to ₹8,363.13 crore - highes
