India Must Proactively Embrace Emerging Technologies: NITI Aayog
March 07, 2025
|The New Indian Express Tirupati
NITI Aayog, which has launched Frontier Tech Hub, an action tank that aims to accelerate India's transition into a Frontier Tech Nation, said the time is right for India to present a development model that is human-centric, planet-friendly, and resilient.
As per a report, AI will contribute up to $15.7 trillion to the global economy in 2030, which is more than the current output of India and China combined.
Almost 70% of this will go to the US and China, and there is a growing urgency for an Inclusive Development Model the rest of the world can aspire to. "One that encourages development and use of technology as a catalyst for equitable progress, ensuring advancements benefit both humanity and the environment," NITI Aayog report said, adding the model should put people first, respect the environment and build systems that can withstand the test of time.
