UNION Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers Anupriya Patel on Friday informed the Lok Sabha that India's Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) imports from China dropped significantly in the year 2024-25.
In response to questions raised by Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, the Minister stated that India imported 22.28 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of DAP from China in 2023-24, but the figure fell to 8.47 LMT in 2024-25. She added that, barring 0.97 LMT received in July, India imported no DAP from China after January 2025.

The Many Shades Of Patriotism
OME years ago, I was briefly in the Netherlands. The taxi from the airport was a faded green Mercedes. The driver, in a suit and skull cap, was a burly man with a white, flowing beard. He turned out to be a Pakistani and hummed a Dilip Kumar-Vyjayanthimala song: \"Teri husn ki kya tareef karun.\" He said he was happy—happier than he had ever been in Pakistan.
