Suchitwa Mission to introduce model for wastewater management through scientifically designed soak pit systems along with Susthira Thrithala initiative
The District Suchitwa Mission, under the LSG department, is gearing up to transform Thrithala constituency into a model for community-level household wastewater management. The flagship initiative focuses on treating greywater — wastewater generated from bathrooms, wash basins, washing machines, and kitchen sinks — through scientifically designed soak pit systems. It is undertaken in collaboration with 'Susthira Thrithala', a comprehensive development initiative that had addressed the issue of declining groundwater levels in the constituency.
