EVEN after the Supreme Court reprimanded the Rajasthan government over the alarming rise in student suicides, the tragic trend in Kota continues. On Monday, an 18-year-old NEET aspirant from J&K died by suicide at a PG accommodation near Pratap Chowk, marking the 15th case of student suicide in Kota in 2025 alone.
According to Circle Inspector Ramesh Kaviya of Mahavir Nagar Police Station, the student, identified as Zeeshan, had spoken to one of her relatives on Sunday and expressed suicidal thoughts. Alarmed relatives immediately contacted another student, Mamta, who lived in the same PG.
