Protesters hang garland of currency notes in front of registrar's office pointing towards financial mismanagement

ALLEGING illegal appointments and administrative decisions that violate regulations and adversely impact the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), its staff, and students, teaching and non-teaching staff unions of the varsity staged a protest in front of the registrar's office here on Tuesday.

In a unique form of demonstration, the protesters hung a garland of currency notes at the entrance as a symbolic representation of financial mismanagement. As university registrar Prof Praveen K B arrived at the scene and attempted to provide clarifications, the employees refused to step back, forcing him to retreat to his office without further engagement.
