CHIEF Minister Siddaramaiah criticised the Sangh Parivar for claiming patriotism without having any role in the freedom movement and targeting prominent freedom fighter like Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi.

Speaking at the Yuva Kranti training workshop organised by the State Youth Congress here on Saturday, Siddaramaiah charged that both Golwalkar and Savarkar were opposed to Ambedkar's Constitution, whereas the Congress played a pivotal role in the freedom struggle, and in shaping modern India.
