Micro finance exploitation must end, govt must constitute panel: Kautilya

BJP OBC Morcha president Raghu Kautilya raised serious concerns about the exploitative practices of micro finance institutions and urged the state government to immediately constitute a panel to look into the violations and exploitation.
Addressing media persons here on Thursday, Kautilya criticised exorbitant interest rates and unethical recovery methods by micro finance firms. Highlighting the plight of borrowers, especially farmers, daily wage workers, and small business owners, he said: "Micro finance has grown like mushrooms, and the harassment faced by borrowers is forcing many to leave their homes, including residents of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's own hometown. The government must urgently address
