Once operational, Kolar, Chikkaballapur districts need not depend on KSRP during emergencies
Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) ADGP Umesh Kumar announced that the India Reserve Battalion (IRB) training centre will commence operations in KGF with a manpower of 1,100 personnel shortly.
Raised by the Central government to support state and union territory police forces during emergencies, the IRB will be set up on a 100-acre land sanctioned by the state government. ADGP Umesh Kumar, accompanied by KSRP IGP Sandip Patil and DIG Dr Ramakrishna, inspected the site and appreciated KGF SP K M Shantharaju for his efforts in securing the land.
