AS the state's farmers battle for allocation of urea, Mandya Deputy Commissioner Kumar assured local smallholders that the district has over 25,000 metric tonnes of fertiliser in stock, urging them to continue agricultural activities without concern.
Presiding over a meeting organised by the Agriculture Department at the DC's office on Monday, Kumar added that 4,200 metric tonnes of urea is also available. "Sowing has already begun in Mandya, Srirangapatna, and Nagamangala taluks. In the coming days, it will start
