Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar asserted that the Congress party does not engage in politics driven by emotion, unlike the BJP, but instead focuses solely on the welfare of the people.
Speaking at the Sadhana Samavesha held at Maharaja's College Grounds in Mysuru on Saturday, Shivakumar highlighted the Congress government's implementation of five guarantee schemes and various welfare initiatives that have gained widespread public support.
"Our welfare programmes are visible to the people. These guarantee schemes have become models for other states. While the BJP claimed they would bankrupt the state, many states are now replicating our schemes to win public support," he said.
Shivakumar also referred to the Bharat Jodo Yatra, stating, "Rahul Gandhi walked across the nation, from Chamarajanagar to Ballari in Karnataka. In every constituency where the Yatra passed, Congress candidates won the Assembly elections. This shows that while criticism fades, real work speaks for itself."
