Army reaches out to schoolgirl in village on Arunachal-China border

THE Indian Army has become a source of hope for schoolchildren of the remote Sarli tribal village on the China border.
This village in Arunachal Pradesh is situated 350 km from Itanagar. Given its remoteness, schoolchildren have always struggled with limited resources and limited educational opportunities.
The Army came to their rescue last year by launching a mentorship programme. The initiative by the Army's 4 Corps headquarters has yielded remarkable results.
