Officials take up this initiative to ensure that the widening of this stretch is finished on time
DAKSHINA Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta on Saturday instructed Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan M.P and NHAI officials to co-ordinate with their counterparts in Hassan to ensure that the widening of Shirady Ghat stretch on Mangaluru-Bengaluru Highway (NH-75) is completed on time in order to minimise the inconvenience caused to road users especially the cargo movement from New Mangalore Port.
At the DISHA meeting, NHAI Project Director Abdulla Javed Azmi said the traffic will be blocked on Shirady Ghat road for one month from March 15 onwards to facilitate the widening of the 10 km stretch ghat road.
