Rao bats for Jana Shikshana's model for waste disposal

Organisation comes with unique initiative of segregating household and commercial wastes in scientific manner

DUMPING and burning of garbage on the roadside and public spaces, especially in rural areas of Dakshina Kannada has continued unabated. To put an end to open littering and scientific management of solid waste like plastic items, district-based ‘Jana Shikshana Trust’, an NGO engaged in cleanliness-related activities had come up with a unique initiative of households, commercial establishments and other organisations joining their hands with waste segregation and scientific waste disposal, and submission of self-declaration forms to the gram panchayats in 2017.
