Members of action committee to meet Siddu in Mangaluru today

MEMBERS of the Action Committee against Udupi-Kasargod 400 KV power line will meet Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during his visit to Mangaluru on January 17 and request him for an immediate meeting chaired by the Energy Minister, along with other relevant department heads and a delegation of landowners, to make a clear decision on the project's future.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, committee's General Secretary Chandrahas Shetty accused the contractor for this Udupi-Kasargod 400 KV Power Transmission Project, UKTL-Sterlite, of issuing press statements containing false and misleading information, attempting to obscure the real facts about the project.
