DK MP Urges Defence Min to Start Military Base, Sainik School in M'luru

DAKSHINA Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and submitted a memorandum requesting the establishment of a military base and a Sainik School in Mangaluru, along with other key defence infrastructure projects in the district.
In his memorandum, Chowta emphasised the importance of starting a Sainik School in Mangaluru, which he believes will inspire the region's youth to pursue a career in public service. He argued that the presence of world-class educational institutions in the district would complement the establishment of a Sainik School, providing a dual benefit of enhancing both education and national security.
