Consultant Appointed to Prepare DPR for High-Speed Road Corridor

DPR for the high-speed road between Bengaluru and Mangaluru to be ready in 18 months
UNION Ministry of Transport and Highways has appointed a consultant to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of a high-speed corridor between Bengaluru and Mangaluru. A letter from Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta states that an agreement with the DPR consultant was signed on April 30, 2025, and the preparation of the DPR is expected to take approximately 18 months.
Chowta thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gadkari and the officials concerned for taking a significant step towards implementing this ambitious project.
