Community unites to save Kodagu varsity that faces closure

Amidst speculation regarding the closure of Kodagu University, established two years ago in Chikkaaluvara, the newly-formed Kodagu University Welfare Committee convened a meeting at the temple hall of village deity Aluvaradamma in Chikkaaluvara village.
The government's contemplation to shut down the university merely two years after its establishment, citing financial constraints, is deemed inappropriate.
Kodagu University possesses 100 acres of dedicated land, well-equipped building complexes and 25 affiliated colleges. Hence, the decision to close the university for any reason appears unreasonable, particularly when the state government is not experiencing financial constraints.
