BJP, Congress to back bandh called by farmers of Somwarpet

EVEN as farmers of Somwarpet have given a taluk-wide bandh call today, both BJP and Congress have declared their support to the bandh. The bandh call has been given to demand resolution of the C and D land issues.

Both the parties in separate press conferences declared their support to the bandh. In the press conference called by the Congress, the workers have alleged that C and D land issue has risen because of the Central government. "The state Congress government is not responsible for the C & D land and Section-4 issue. The decisions of the Central government are the cause, and the party has already appealed to the MLAs to resolve the issue," said district Congress VP K M Lokesh.
