KARNATAKA Adivasi Hakkugala Samanvaya Samiti submitted a memorandum to the Forest, Environment and Ecology Minister Eshwar B Khandre and urged to provide electricity and road infrastructure to adivasis in Kudremukh National Park limits under the Forest Rights Act.

- EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @Mangaluru

The Samiti has urged the minister to dispose of all the applications submitted online under the forest rights act and simplify the forest rights act. "Lands of Adivasis in the forest areas must be legalised and lands of Adivasis living in Poramboke or unassessed lands must be granted under Akrama-Sakrama scheme and clear all applications under 94c," the samiti urged.

Shekhar L, convenor of the samiti said even after 77 years of independence, Adivasis living in Kudremukh National Park limits are deprived of road and electricity facilities.
