Congress leader Chennithala accuses mayor, deputy mayor of being complicit in widespread irregularities; says M S Dileep just 'tip of a massive iceberg'

THE Opposition staged a protest in front of the Kozhikode corporation on Saturday in the wake of a Vigilance raid at the residence and office of the corporation's Superintending Engineer, M S Dileep. The demonstration was led by senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala, who alleged that Dileep was merely the "tip of a massive iceberg" of corruption within the corporation.

Addressing the protest gathering, Chennithala accused the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of being complicit in widespread irregularities. As part of the demonstration, United Democratic Front (UDF) workers blocked three of the corporation's gates, demanding transparency and accountability.
