THE 11th edition of the Malabar River Festival, Asia's largest white-water kayaking championship, concluded with a splash, as New Zealand paddlers dominated the kayaking rapid categories, earning the coveted titles of "Rapid King" and "Rapid Queen".
THE 11th edition of the Malabar River Festival, Asia's largest white-water kayaking championship, concluded with a splash, as New Zealand paddlers dominated the kayaking rapid categories, earning the coveted titles of "Rapid King" and "Rapid Queen". Ryan O'Connor was crowned Rapid King, while Raata Lowell Smith claimed the Rapid Queen title, showcasing their exceptional speed and skill on the final day's downhill river competitions.
Public Works and Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas declared the event a globally recognised tourism event in the kayaking sector.
