Suppliers had ceased deliveries over unpaid arrears of approx ₹90 cr
A 24-HOUR hunger strike led by MP M K Raghavan commenced on Sunday morning near the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital (MCH), demanding an immediate resolution to the escalating medicine crisis that has paralysed the institution.
The strike was inaugurated by M K Muneer MLA, drawing attention to the plight of thousands of patients left without critical medicines and surgical supplies.
The crisis, which has been brewing for months, reached a tipping point last Friday when drug suppliers ceased deliveries over unpaid arrears amounting to approximately ₹90 crore.
