EVEN as South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada was running through the Australian batting line-up in the World Test Championship final at the Lords, about 21km away from the historic venue, the Indian contingent were quietly going about their business in Beckenham.
The main squad, apart from those who were taking part in the second India A game against England Lions, have been training in Beckenham since Sunday.
From Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan facing grueling up to Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant having extended nets, India are having intense training sessions ahead of the intra-squad game between India A and the main squad from Friday.
Bowling coach Morne Morkel seems to be a happy man about the preparations so far, especially with the bowling unit. He felt that despite the overcast conditions, the pitches would be challenging for the bowlers but was confident about the variety and the balance of the attack.
