The initiative was taken by the Tamil Nadu government, who had been supporting Gukesh, for a while. The specially decorated vehicle, showcased Gukesh's accomplishments and went around Chepauk. Inside the hall, where the felicitation function was held, TN chief minister MK Stalin gave away ₹5 crore cheque.
