THE district is on the brink of a water crisis, with the summer season arriving earlier than expected. Water levels in crucial water sources like Meenachil, Manimala, Chittar and Kodoor rivers are rapidly declining, signaling a possible drought. Pampa and Azhutha rivers in the neighboring Pathanamthitta district are also fast drying up.
