Efforts on to contain epidemics amid rising waterborne diseases

THE district administration and the health department have taken all necessary measures to contain the spread of epidemics in Alappuzha.
Over 1,730 people reported various waterborne diseases in the district last month.
The health department suspects that the diseases are spreading through drinking water. Leptospirosis was also reported in the district during the same period, with more than 18 people infected.
