Abolition of 'waqf by user' prima facie not arbitrary: Interim order
THE Supreme Court on Monday refused to stay the operation of the Waqf Amendment Act, 2025, in its interim orderbut stayed the implementation of certain parts of the law to 'balance the equities' and 'protect the interests of parties', including the criteria of fiveyear practice of Islam for dedicating property towards waqf.
