Indian women trafficked to Malaysia on visa-free entry

AFTER the gulf countries, now Malaysia has earned the dubious reputation as a destination where women from India, particularly from Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh, are lured by travel agents with the promise of legitimate domestic work.
Several of these women enter the country through a visa-free entry route, only to find themselves entrapped. They are forced to live and work in an environment that is both unstable and precarious.
