GREESHMA remained impassive as the Neyyattinkara Additional Sessions Court sentenced her to death on Monday.

- EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @T'Puram

She stood motionless, her head bowed, as the judge delivered the verdict and observations. The third-accused, Nirmalakumaran Nair, who was sentenced to three years in prison, also looked expressionless.

Before the sentence was read, Judge A M Basheer called Sharon's parents to the well of the court. They broke down, clasping their hands, as it was delivered. Sharon's mother, who was holding a rosary, later said, "My son has received justice." Greeshma's family wept inconsolably on hearing the sentence.
