'Raktharakshas' is back with a spooky experience

ARIES Kalanilayam's cult horror play 'Raktharakshas' has returned to the stage. The group that captured the hearts of people across Kerala is now bringing back a revived version under the name 'Raktharakshas Chapter One'. The performance takes place at Puthiya Kavu Temple Ground, Tripunithura, with two shows a day — at 6pm and 9pm.

This comeback follows the recent takeover of the iconic Kalanilayam venue by Aries Group, now rebranded as Aries Kalanilayam Arts and Theatre Private Limited. Kalanilayam's six-decade legacy of cinematic style stagecraft is famed for productions like Kayamkulam Kochunni and Kadamattath Kathanar.
