Nimisha's Death Penalty Likely to Be Cancelled

The death sentence of Malayali nurse Nimisha Priya, lodged in a Yemeni prison, is likely to be revoked, according to information received by the office of Indian Grand Mufti Kanthapuram A P Aboobacker Musaliyar.
Jawad Mustawafy, the disciple of the Yemeni Sufi figure Sheikh Umar Hafiz, who is involved in the deliberations to free Nimisha at the request of Kanthapuram, said certain important decisions have been taken at the meeting between the family of Talal Abdo Mehdi, the Yemeni citizen who was murdered by Nimisha,
