Karnataka HC dismisses plea by Jayalalithaa's kin claiming right over confiscated assets

THE Karnataka High Court on Monday dismissed an appeal filed by legal heirs of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa – J Deepak and J Deepa – claiming right over the confiscated valuables and properties seized in connection with the disproportionate assets case against her.
Justice V Srishanan-da passed the order while upholding the order passed by the special court on July 12, 2023, rejecting their request to release confiscated properties.
