Hindalco profit surges 60% to ₹3,735 crore

ADITYA BIRLA GROUP company Hindalco Industries on Thursday reported a 60% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹3,735 crore for the third quarter of the current financial year, aided by higher income.
The company reported a net profit of ₹2,331 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing. Total income rose to ₹58,899 crore from ₹53,088 crore a year earlier. Its expenses were at ₹53,563 crore as against ₹49,761 crore in the December quarter.
