n International Women's Day, the world is celebrating the resilience and achievement of women who have broken barriers in various fields. Journalism, a profession once dominated by men, saw women in Kerala coming forward challenging conventions and making remarkable strides in career but also advocating social change.

These pioneers not only paved the way for themselves but also for a new generation of women journalists in Kerala. Though women occupy key positions in print, broadcast(TV&radio) and digital media, the fight against challenges like workplace discrimination and other harassment continues. The contributions of these trail blazers inspire the women of today to continue their efforts toward gender equality in journalism.
