PROTESTS against BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal continue for his derogatory statement against 12th-century social reformer, Basaveshwara, as more organisations are expressing their ire.
M.C. Mulla, state vice-president of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, asserted that the statement of Yatnal on Basaveshwara is not only an insult to social reformers but also to every person of the district who is born in Vijayapura, which is the birthplace of Basaveshwara.
"No sane person who admires and knows even little about Basaveshwara's legacy will tolerate such insults. Yatnal must tender an unconditional and public apology for his derogatory remarks against Basaveshwara," said Mulla.
