Shivakumar slams Satish, says KPCC prez post not for sale

|The New Indian Express Kalaburagi
THE rift between the camps of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar over the issue of change in KPCC president continued on Thursday with the latter taking strong exception to Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi's statements.
"KPCC presidency is not something that is available in a store, nor can it be purchased by issuing statements in the media," he told reporters in Bengaluru.
Shivakumar said like Mallikarjun Kharge, who is holding two posts -- Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and AICC president -- he too is holding the posts of DCM and KPCC president.
On Jarkiholi's statement that the party organisation is suffering for want of a full-time KPCC president, Shivakumar hit back stating that "AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge should answer this. You must ask him. Hard work and achievements of party workers will always be recognised by the high command and they will be rewarded suitably. Who seeks a party position openly in the media? This is something new to me," Shivakumar said.
