HEAT and humidity seared the state on Monday with temperature in many parts of the state crossing 40°C.
Sambalpur recorded the highest day temperature of 42.9°C followed by Jharsuguda 42.2°C, Balangir 42.1°C and Boudh 42°C. Day temperature in Sambalpur was above normal by 1.5°C, Jharsuguda 0.7°C and Balangir 0.2°C.
