Governor Gehlot to preside over the event while Minister Sudhakar will be guest of honour
THE Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, which is set to host Part-1 of its 25th annual convocation on Friday, July 4, will confer 60,052 Undergraduate degrees to eligible graduates from across Karnataka and affiliated institutions. The event will take place at the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Jnana Sangama, VTU campus, Belagavi, said Vice-Chancellor Prof Vidyashankar.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said, "This year's convocation aligns with VTU's forward-thinking initiative to support internationalisation of education and promote Karnataka as a global study destination. To facilitate seamless academic transitions for students aspiring for higher studies abroad, the university has synchronised its academic calendar with international admission schedules. In order to prevent delays in the issuance of degree certificates, which are often required by multinational companies and public sector organisations during recruitment, VTU has institutionalised two convocations per year since 2023."
