Manur Hospital conducts complex kidney cancer surgery successfully

A TEAM of medical professionals at the Manur Multispeciality Hospital in Kalaburagi successfully performed surgery on a rare and complex kidney cancer, where the cancer had fatally spread to the main blood vessels that are connected to the heart, said founder and managing director of Manur Multispecialty Hospital Dr Farooq Manur here on Monday.

Speaking at a press conference here, Dr Manur said that patient Allabaksh (65) had an extensive history of chain smoking and alcohol consumption, because of which he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. He was at the third stage and was experiencing severe abdominal discomfort for the past few months and had approached many hospitals in Kalaburagi for treatment. But as the hospitals lacked proper equipment to perform such intricate surgeries, he could not get proper treatment.
