Excise department to impose fine on public liquor consumption

The Excise department has already commenced imposing fines on those who consume liquor in public places, said Excise Minister R B Timmapur here on Friday.
Speaking with the media after holding the divisional-level progress review meeting of the excise department here, Timmapur said 359 cases have been registered against those who have purchased liquor and were consuming it in public in the Kalaburagi division this year.
