B'gavi Police Bust Ganja, Gambling Racket: 15 Held, Drugs, Cash Seized

In a major crackdown on illegal activities, Belagavi City and Rural Police arrested 15 individuals in connection with two narcotics peddling cases and three gambling (Matka) rackets in Belagavi on Saturday.
The joint raids were conducted across various localities following tip-offs about illicit marijuana sales and public gambling.
In two separate narcotics cases, CEN Crime Police and Tilakwadi Police apprehended seven accused and seized a total of 694 grams of marijuana. In the first case, CEN Crime Police led by ACP J Raghu nabbed Kiran Gundu Aadava (21) and Rahul Shinolli from Shaurya Circle near Camp Station and recovered 200 grams of marijuana and Rs 2,000 in cash. A case was registered under NDPS Act, Sections 20 (i), (ii)(m) at CEN Crime Police Station (No. 48/2025).
