Use helmet or cough up Rs 500, Ballari SP warns bikers, pillion riders

BALLARI District Superintendent of Police (SP) Shobha Rani V J has made it clear that there are no exemptions on the use of helmets by the rider and the pillion rider of two-wheelers, a rule that was made mandatory across Ballari district last week.
Speaking at a public awareness campaign held at Kanakadurga Circle recently, the SP distributed helmets and roses to citizens to promote the initiative. The SP said that life is precious and every rider and pillion rider should wear helmets for their own safety.
