Now Check Mobile Network Availability In Your Area Before Buying A Sim

Mobile users in India can now check which network technologies—such as 2G, 4G, or 5G—are available in their area before purchasing a SIM card.

This follows a new directive from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), which requires all telecom service providers, including Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea, to publish detailed network coverage maps on their websites.

This means consumers can now view which networks are available at their location and assess their signal strengths before choosing an operator. For instance, if one provider offers only 4G in a specific area while another provides 5G, customers can opt for the one with better service. In rural areas too, where only 2G or 4G may be available, individuals can make informed decisions based on actual network accessibility.
