16,098 SSLC students attend classes till 9 pm

Says the initiative has shown promise through continuous activities over the last 10 months

Several initiatives taken under the Mission Vidyakashi project have helped overcome exam fear among students appearing for the SSLC exams, said Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu.

Addressing an event organised as part of the initiative in Kundgol, the DC further said that due to the efforts of the Education Department, officials, parents and teachers, significant changes can be seen in the educational quality of the district and interest among students to learn was palpable, which has made all proud.

Divya mentioned that it was important to foster a reading habit among children and encourage their interests. Parents have a responsibility to imbibe good values in their children. The success of the children depends on collective efforts.
